You’ll find immediate opportunity to provide telehealth visits as CMS seeks to protect vulnerable patients from exposure to COVID-19 and maintain continuity of care.

Effective March 6, CMS lifted restrictions on telehealth services. Providers will be able to connect with Medicare patients in their homes or in other locations via face-to-face video technology and report the encounter with face-to-face visit codes. That breaks the limits on specific locations, “originating” and “distant” sites, that usually apply to telehealth visits.

During this webinar, you’ll find out what services are eligible for reporting via telehealth, such as E/M office visits and prolonged services. You’ll discover the ins and outs of the Medicare waivers and how they apply during the COVID-19 pandemic. You’ll also learn key coding, billing, and documentation tips to ensure your claims get through without issue.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Describe what telehealth is, how it works, and what services are covered under the benefit
  • Document, code, and report telehealth services
  • Explain the various waivers that apply to telehealth during the emergency and how they impact physician practices
