Eight months after the revised Home Health Conditions of Participation (CoP) took effect, CMS has posted final interpretive guidelines for surveyors. Industry experts contend the final guidelines offer significant updates from the draft guidelines. Noncompliance with the CoPs could result in deficiencies on surveys—and beginning again in 2019, it could lead to civil monetary penalties.

During this 90-minute webinar, expert speaker Diane Link, RN, MHA, will discuss how to implement specific changes to agency policies and procedures that ensure compliance with the revised CoPs. Listeners will also have an opportunity to submit questions throughout the program so Link can provide feedback during the Q&A session.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand steps agencies must take now to comply with the final interpretive guidelines
  • Identify changes to make regarding employee roles and responsibilities
  • Learn about key changes involving patient rights and home health plans of care
  • Implement specific changes to agency policies and procedures to comply with the revised CoPs
