The change from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM will become mandatory in 2013. The ICD-10-CM code set requires a deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology. With the ICD-10-CM code set being six times larger than ICD-9-CM, we want to make sure you are ready. These code changes will be here faster than you think. This hands-on course teaches you how to code from the operative report, how to understand and transfer codes from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM, and then how to understand any differences when coding for ICD-10-CM with an emphasis on the anatomy, physiology, and more importantly, documentation. The program requires a basic understanding of the operative report.
How eLearning Works
Register now, and once the course content is available on July 9th, you'll receive instructions about how to login, download the slide deck, and view the presentation. Then, learn at your own pace to understand all the same expert information we present at our live workshops. To confirm your full participation in the eLearning course and receive your CEUs, you must pass a 50-question quiz upon completion of the course with 75% correct. Don’t worry, the quiz is open book and you can retake the exam as many times as needed until you pass.
